A nonsymmetric gravitational theory is presented which is free of ghos
t poles, tachyons, and higher-order poles and there are no problems wi
th asymptotic boundary conditions. A static spherically symmetric solu
tion in the long-range approximation is everywhere regular and does no
t contain a black hole event horizon. The information loss problem is
resolved at the classical level. (C) 1995 American Institute of Physic
