Ja. Farber et al., PULSE-COMPRESSION ON AN HLN-TRANSMISSION LINE IN GAAS TECHNOLOGY AS ABASIS FOR AN INTEGRATED SAMPLING HEAD DRIVER MODULE, IEEE transactions on instrumentation and measurement, 44(4), 1995, pp. 918-919
The theory behind nonlinear wave propagation is reviewed briefly. Anal
ogue simulation results indicate the possibility of designing a nonlin
ear transmission line in a commercially available GaAs process which c
ompresses input signals with 35 ps rise time to 9 ps at the output. Th
is pulse compression ability can be used to construct a driver to cont
rol the switch in an integrated sampling head.
