Pulsed nuclear magnetic resonance measurements of the transverse frequ
ency and magnetization of superfluid He-3 in a 98.2% porous aerogel ar
e observed at temperatures reduced significantly below the bulk He-3 s
uperfluid transition and are discussed in terms of an isotropic impuri
ty scattering model. Magnetization measurements suggest an equal-spin
pairing superfluid. For NMR tipping angles, phi greater than or simila
r to 40 degrees, the shifts drop abruptly to zero, unlike the known de
pendence of either the He-3-A or He-3-B superfluid phases.
