Js. Casas et al., THE CDCL2 THIAMINE (VITAMIN-B-1) SYSTEM - CRYSTAL-STRUCTURE AND SPECTROSCOPIC PROPERTIES OF THE NEW COMPLEX TRANS-[CD(THIAMINE)(2)CL-4]/, Polyhedron, 14(13-14), 1995, pp. 1825-1829
The structure of the title compound was determined by X-ray diffractio
n. The cadmium atom is coordinated to the four chlorine ligands and to
two N(1')-bound thiamines in S conformation that occupy a ans positio
ns in a distorted octahedral kernel. The structural details and the so
lid state (CP/MAS C-13 and Cd-113) and solution (C-13, N-15 and Cd-113
) NMR spectroscopic properties of the complex are compared with those
of previously isolated cadmium(II)/thiamine compounds.
