Abstract
The Tanjung Bomas Formation is the basal sedimentary unit of Waigeo Is land of eastern Indonesia. A fragile and diverse late Middle Eocene ra diolarian assemblage recovered from a locality near the type section r epresents the oldest in situ Tertiary fossils from the island.
