Hy. Chen et al., CATALYTIC-OXIDATION OF NADH AT A METHYLENE-GREEN CHEMICALLY MODIFIED ELECTRODE AND FIA APPLICATIONS, Analytical letters, 28(9), 1995, pp. 1579-1591
Chemically modified electrodes with Methylene Green (MG) incorporated
into carbon paste exhibit excellent electrocatalytic ability for reduc
ed nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH), reducing oxidation overpo
tential by 600mV compared with the direct oxidation of NADH at unmodif
ied electrode. In flow injection analysis (FIA) of NADH, MG-modified c
arbon paste electrodes show high catalytic activity and stability, wit
h linear response range over about 3 orders of magnitude and a detecti
on limit of 1.0 pmol. Furthermore, the influence of various experiment
al conditions was explored for optimum analytical performance.
