Excess enthalpies of the ternary mixture 2,2,2-trifluoroethanol-water-
tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether and the corresponding binary mixtu
res at 298.15 K have been measured using a standard Calvet microcalori
meter. Wilson, NRTL, UNIQUAC and Wang et al. models have been used to
correlate the binary excess enthalpies and, using the parameters obtai
ned, to predict ternary excess molar enthalpies, H-E. Several empirica
l equations predicting ternary-mixture properties from the binary-mixi
ng data have been also examined.
