Abstract
Upon hydration template-free SAPO-40 shows the opening of certain Si-O -Al and P-O-Al bonds; although Al-27, P-31 MAS NMR and powder X-ray di ffraction (XRD) suggest that this effect is completely reversible on d ehydration, Si-29 MAS NMR indicates that the local silicon environment s are not fully restored.
