Abstract
We present Stromgren CCD photometry for the binary cluster NGC 2136/37 in the LMC and for its neighbouring field population. The common orig in of NGC 2136 and 2137 is supported not only by their identical ages, but also by their common Stromgren metallicity of -0.55 dex. A third cluster may also have a common origin with NGC 2136/37, indicated by t he fact that the three clusters are connected by regions of enhanced s tar densities. No counterpart of such a configuration has yet been fou nd in the Milky Way.
