Abstract
A previously proposed model for the production of neutral strange part icles in nucleus-nucleus collisions, based on the Additive Quark Model and nuclear cascading, is further developed. The model predictions on neutral strange particle multiplicities, transverse momentum and rapi dity distributions are compared with the existing oxygen and sulphur-n ucleus data at 200 GeV per nucleon. The predictions for central PbPb c ollisions are presented and discussed in some detail.
