Abstract
Observed period changes in SX Phe and Population I high amplitude delt a Set stars have been collected and compared with those expected from different stellar evolutionary tracks inside the Lower Instability Str ip including modern evolution models using the new opacities by Rogers & Iglesias (1992) and Kurucz (1991).
