Abstract
The mechanism of the photorefractive effect in Cd13P4S22I2 (CPSI) has been investigated with holographic methods. Our experimental results r eveal that the photorefractive properties of CPSI do not originate fro m the electro-optic effect but from a different type of mechanism, pro bably a light-induced ionic transport process.
