Abstract
Bismuth (0-160 mu g) can be determined spectrophotometrically at 486 n m after its extraction as hydrogen tetraiodobis-muthate(III) into prop ylene carbonate. The effects of reagent conditions, ionic strength and diverse ions are reported. The system has been applied to the determi nation of bismuth in pharmaceutical samples.
