Abstract
An attempt was made to propagate the egg-drop syndrome '76 (EDS '76) v irus (strain H-127) in a new duck embryo (Pekin duck) cell-line (DEC). The adaptability of the virus in DEC was Compared with that of the co nventional duck embryo fibroblast (DEF). Being a duck adenovirus, the EDS '76 virus grew to high titres in the homologous DEC as in DEF.
