Abstract
Three types of houses, viz. pucca regular poultry shed, thatched bambo o house with deep litter and thatched bamboo house with slat floor, we re evaluated for the internal shed environment and productive performa nce of broilers in them during 2 different periods of a year. The hous es were identical with each other in terms of the minimum and maximum inside temperature, inside relative humidity, ammonia concentration an d liner moisture content (%) during any of the periods. Between the pe riods, the inside temperature, humidity and litter moisture (%) were h igh during June-July than those in January-Feburary. The broilers rear ed in these houses had also not shown any significant differences for body weights, weight gain, feed consumption and feed efficiency.
