A method for simultaneous determination of both the structure and subs
tructure of dispersed objects from X-ray scattering data is proposed.
In experiment, the intensity is measured at S-equidistant points, whic
h permits one to use an effective algorithm for discrete Fourier trans
form (DFT) to calculate the radial distribution functions (RDF). On th
e basis of the DFT algorithm properties, the maximum distance to be ex
amined was estimated. The feasibility of the method was verified exper
imentally on model objects. The criteria of selection of the experimen
tal conditions and mathematical data treatment are elaborated, dependi
ng on the problem to be solved. The method of estimation of average si
ze of coherent scattering zones from the RDF is proposed and verified.
The model and experimental intensity curves and RDF were compared.
