Abstract
The mechanism of high-temperature failure of a typical rubbery, non-re inforced heat-reflecting material in the field of mass inertia forces has been experimentally investigated. The correlation between the iner tia overloads acting on the material and the rate of high-temperature failure of the latter has been established. The value of the ultimate strength of the coke of the investigated material has been obtained. A physical model of the process of high-temperature failure of the rubb ery, non-reinforced heat-reflecting material in the field of mass iner tia forces has been formulated.
