Abstract
The skull base is a complex foundation and interface for cranial nerve s, vessels, sinuses, and muscles of the head. Successful surgery here requires a good understanding of how these structures appear acquired through the use of modem diagnostic imaging techniques. This article r eviews both normal anatomy and pathologic processes at the skull base.
