VASCULAR-LESIONS OF THE CRANIAL BASE

This article provides for the plastic surgeon an overview of various i ssues in the management of vascular lesions of the cranial base. In ad dition to a brief review of the histologic and anatomic features of th ese lesions in the cranial base, various aspects of the clinical manif estations are presented. A multimodal approach to these lesions is emp hasized; use of steroids, interventional radiographic techniques, defi nitive surgery, and reconstructive options are discussed.
