Abstract
A series of elemental multilayer films was prepared with an overall co mposition of In4Nb3Se4 with x = 0-5. The indium-containing samples wer e found to undergo a solid-state amorphization reaction before crystal lization while the Nb3Se4 crystallized hetero-generously at the reacti ng niobium-selenium interfaces. The crystallization of Nb3Se4 from the amorphous samples is studied as a function of indium composition. (C) 1995 Academic Press, Inc.
