Abstract
This paper presents an analysis of the effects of motor repair of moto r efficiency. The study is based on laboratory testing of 23 50-hp mot ors sent to 23 motor repair shops. The results show that the drop in e fficiency is directly related to work practices, mainly due to the sta tor characteristics and poor bearing lubrication. The stator Stripping methods used have little impact on core losses.
