Abstract
The need for improved pressure distribution and better compaction resi stance was the basis for the invention of multiaxial press fabrics, wh ich have baseweave yarns oriented in at least four directions. For the papermaker these fabrics offer better steady-state performance, as we ll as an opportunity to improve both dryness and fabric life.
