Abstract
In the statistical model of strength of a solid subjected to slow tens ion [1] the exponential increase in defect concentration and also the nonlinearally elastic properties of the body are taken into considerat ion. The critical parameters of rupture (stress, strain) were found. T o determine the dynamics of fracture experimental data is used. There is good qualitative agreement of the model with the experimental data.
