Abstract
Distribution of macroquantity (0.3-1.3 M) of Gd and Yb between neat tr i-n-butyl phosphate (TBP) and 5-12 M nitric acid solutions has been st udied. The species extracted by TBP from 7-12 M nitric acid solutions are rare-earth metal (REM) nitrate trisolvates containing one or sever al nitric acid molecules.
