Transfer coefficients of Na-22, Mn-54, and Zn-65 from seawater and 0.5
M sodium chloride solutions into gas phase by vaporization have been
experimentally determined and range from 10(-8) to 10(-7). This corres
ponds to a vapor pressure of about 10(-11) atm, which is substantially
higher than thermodynamically calculated vapor pressures of correspon
ding anhydrous chlorides.
