An anaphylactic reaction occurred in a 57-year-old man after a prick b
y prick test with fresh kiwi and in a 29-year-old man after prick test
s with some species of fish. Both patients had a history of anaphylaxi
s after ingestion of kiwi and fish, respectively. These cases suggest
that, especially in patients with a history of anaphylaxis, all effort
s should be made to minimize the risk of systemic reactions, and skin
prick testing should be performed only in places equipped to treat ana
phylaxis.
