La. Kalinina et al., DETERMINATION OF THE CONDUCTION TYPE AND ACTIVITY OF SOLID ELECTROLYTES IN THE CAND2S4-ND2S3 SYSTEM, Russian journal of electrochemistry, 31(6), 1995, pp. 583-585
Transport numbers for calcium and sulfur ions in solid electrolytes ba
sed on the CaNd2S4-Nd2S3 system are investigated by the emf method. Is
otherms for the dependence of logaNd(2)S(3) on the solid-electrolyte c
omposition and temperature are constructed. The studies performed allo
w the solid solutions CaNd2S4-xNd2S3, where x = 10 to 30 mol %, to be
considered as predominantly sulfide-conducting solid electrolytes, t(S
2-) = 0.97 +/- 0.02, With an insignificant fraction of conduction by c
alcium ions, t(Ca2+) = 0.03 +/- 0.02 (500 degrees C).
