The basic disulfure bond scission of 5,5'-dithiobis(2-nitrobenzoic) ac
id and 6,6'-dithiodinicotinic acid has been studied on CTAB micelles,
The kinetic results are explained well on the base of theoretical trea
tment that considers ions distribution around micelles according to th
e Poisson-Boltzmann mon-linearized equation with specific interactions
between ions in solution and the micellar surface. The treatment also
considers ionic substrate distribution between aqueous and micellar p
hases that depends on the micellar surface potential.
