Abstract
Immediate early genes induced by triggering of the TCR frequently enco de proteins that act in signal transduction cascades. Recent advances concerning several immediate-early proteins have been made, including signal-induced regulation of NF-kappa B by I kappa-B, the role of Nur7 7 in T-cell selection and apoptosis, and the function of PAC-1 in regu lating the Ras/ERK pathway.
