Abstract
Preservatives and additives are needed to prepare stable solutions for injection. They may provoke physicochemical reactions when these solu tions are mixed. Endproducts may be either inactive or toxic to the pa tient. Information on allowed mixtures is scarce. Compatibility analys es are difficult to perform in a short time and are usually expensive. The best way would be to inject the drugs seperately with 50 or 100 m l infusions. Moreover, some laboratories supply prepared infusion solu tions such as buflomedil, pefloxacine, metronidazole.
