Abstract
4-(2'Chloro-1'-1'-dimethylethyl)alkoxybenzenes (5-8) have been synthes ised by a regioselective and facile Friedel-Crafts alkylation of aryl alkyl ethers (1-4) with methallyl chloride using the perfluorinated su lphonic acid resin, Nafion-H-R as catalyst.
