Metal complexes of the type ML(2).nB [M = Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II); H
L = 2-hydroxy-1-naphthyl)-5-(4-X-phenyl)-2-isoxazoline (X = H, Cl, OMe
); n = 0,2; B = H2O, py] have been synthesised and characterized on th
e basis of analytical data, conductivity, IR, electronic and EPR data
and magnetic moment. The IR spectral data indicate bonding through the
tertiary nitrogen of the isoxazoline ring and phenolic oxygen.
