Abstract
N,N'-(Ethylene)bis(salicylideneimine) (EDSAL), N,N'-(propylene)bis(sal icyclideneimine) (PDSAL) and N,N'-(o-phenylene)bis(salicyclideneimine) (o-PhenSAL) complexes of Mn(III) selenocyanate and 1,2-dihydro-1,5-di methyl-2-phenyl- 4-(2'-hydroxynaphthylazo-)3H-pyrazol-3-one (NAAP) com plexes of Mn(III) thiocyanate and selenocyanate of the formulae MnL(NC Se) (L = EDSAL, PDSAL or o-PhenSAL) and MnL(NCX)(2) (L = NAAP and X = S or Se) have been isolated and characterized. All the complexes are n on-electrolytic in nature. The IR spectra of these complexes are indic ative of coordination through nitrogen atom of the NCX group.
