Using a high throughput colorimetric bioassay three aporphine alkaloid
s, annonaine, nornuciferine and roemerine, were isolated and identifie
d as the CD45 protein tyrosine phosphatase inhibitor metabolites of Ro
llinia ulei. The nor-aporphine alkaloids, anonaine (1) and nornuciferi
ne (3), exhibited more potent inhibitory activity than that of the N-m
ethylated alkaloid roemerin (2).
