Abstract
A case of chainsaw injury to the neck is described. Previous reports i n the English language are exceedingly rare. A brief discussion of saf ety features on chain saws is followed by a review of selective vs. ma ndatory surgical exploration in penetrating neck trauma, including the role of ancillary diagnostic tests.
