Abstract
The bond relationships between glass fibre reinforced plastic bars wit h polyester matrix and concrete is investigated in order to obtain inf ormation concerning the possible use of these bars for the reinforceme nt of concrete constructions, where the use of ordinary steel bars cou ld have certain disadvantages due to the possibility of corrosion. The results obtained are used ro develop a model of the stress-slip relat ionship and to estimate she anchorage lengths needed to embed these ba rs in concrete casts.
