Abstract
Silver(i) glutarate is a 2D polynuclear polymer whose repeat unit cons ists of a tetranuclear silver cluster coordinated by two bridging glut arate anions; these units are organised, through additional metal-oxyg en linkages, in layers parallel to the ac plane, in which uncommon met al-metal contacts (3.14-3.43 Angstrom) are observed.
