Abstract
In order to study the feasibility of using a spacecraft bumper compose d of ceramics and metal, double-layer plate targets were prepared with an aluminum nitride sheet and an aluminum sheet.,They were impacted b y glass microprojectiles in the velocity range of 2-3 km/s. It was fou nd that debris from the metal-ceramics show a markedly wide dispersion depending on the position of the aluminum nitride sheet in the target .
