Abstract
The dynamic surface tension (DST) of decanoic acid, Triton X-100, and Brij 58 solutions is studied by the so-called ''peaktensiometry'' meth od. The obtained results are interpreted by a theoretical model for di ffusion-controlled adsorption. Reasonable values for diffusivities of the studied surfactants are obtained. The applicability of the peakten siometry method to studies of the DST of submicellar and micellar surf actant solutions is demonstrated. (C) 1995 Academic Press, Inc.
