C. Fauquignon, THE 2-STEPS REACTION ZONE STRUCTURE - A WAY TO INTERPRET NONIDEAL DETONATIONS OBSERVATIONS, Propellants, explosives, pyrotechnics, 20(3), 1995, pp. 123-125
The reaction zone of an heterogeneous explosive is the sequence of mic
ro-thermal explosions followed by a volume combustion until the end of
the reactions. It is shown that the physical and geometrical paramete
rs characterizing the explosive play a different and frequently opposi
te role in the two steps of the reaction zone.
