I. Bogdanovic et al., TRACE-ELEMENT CHARACTERIZATION OF COAL FLY-ASH PARTICLES, Nuclear instruments & methods in physics research. Section B, Beam interactions with materials and atoms, 99(1-4), 1995, pp. 402-405
XRF, PIXE, RES and STIM were used for a study of trace element distrib
utions in Creek lignites and their ashes. Samples of fly ash collected
from electrostatic precipitators have been separated into seven fract
ional sizes ranging from 300 mu m to less than 25 mu m. Trace element
concentrations show variation as function of grain size. In addition,
the results of analyses of 50 individual fly ash particles are present
ed.
