We report a case of chromomycosis caused by Fonsecaea pedrosoi in a Co
moroan patient. Delay for diagnosis was for six years. At this time, h
e worked as a farmer in the Large Comoros Island (Nioumiamilina et Ifo
udihe). Except verrucous lesions of the right ankle the clinical exami
nation of this patient was absolutely normal. He was treated with fluc
ytosine 150 mg/kg/j and itraconazole 200 mg/j per os and outcome was r
apidly favourable.
