Sl. Stefan et Mf. Ishak, SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF OXOTITANIUM(IV) AND OXOVANADIUM(IV)COMPLEXES OF IS(5-HYDROXY-3-METHYL-1-PHENYL-4-PYRAZOLYL)METHANE LIGANDS, Polish Journal of Chemistry, 69(8), 1995, pp. 1097-1102
The interactions of oxotitanium(IV) and oxovanadium(It? with ligands c
ontaining enolic oxygen donors, such as arylbis(5-hydroxy-3 -methyl-1-
phenyl-4-pyrazolyl) methanes(ArBPyM), have been studied by means of IR
spectra, thermogrivimetric measurements, elemental analysis and condu
ctometric titrations. The results indicate the probable formation of d
imeric complexes (metal: ligand ratio = 1:1) through the sulfato group
which acts as a bridging bidentate ligand. Application of differentia
l - thermal analysis allowed the determination of the mechanism of the
rmal decomposition of the complexes.'
