Abstract
Transient simulation of power electronic circuits is of considerable i nterest to the designer, The switching nature of the devices used perm its development of specialized algorithms which allow a considerable r eduction in simulation time compared to general purpose simulation alg orithms. This paper presents some sparsity oriented methods to speed u p the simulation of transient behavior of such systems. Test results o btained for typical circuits confirm the efficiency and accuracy of th e proposed methods.
