Abstract
The edge-cracked circular disc is investigated using the boundary coll ocation method. A large number of coefficients for a series expansion of the Airy stress function will be determined and their general behav iour will be analysed. Based on these coefficients, weight functions w ill be derived and an analytical near-tip weight function proposed. Co pyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
