Abstract
Library resources are prevalent on the Internet. Library catalogs, ele ctronic books, electronic periodicals, periodical indexes, reference s ources, and U.S. Government documents are available by telnet, Gopher, World Wide Web, and FTP. Comparatively few copyrighted library resour ces are available freely on the Internet. Internet implementations of library resources can add useful features, such as full-text searching . There are discussion lists, Gophers, and World Wide Web pages to hel p users keep up with new resources and changes to existing ones. The f uture will bring more library resources, more types of library resourc es, and more integrated implementations of such resources to the Inter net.
