Abstract
Four peptide-units were assembled selectively through S-alkylation to afford a four-helix-bundle protein consisting of 81 residues. Introduc tion of a disulfide to the protein as an additional inter-unit cross-l inking made the molecule highly resistant against chaotropic and therm al denaturation.
