Abstract
Photoirradiation of dibenzoyldiazomethane in the presence of amino aci d derivatives in aqueous solutions efficiently produced the addition p roducts through a reaction with photogenerated benzoylketene. Efficien t DNA cleavage was observed with a dibenzoyldiazomethane derivative, p ossessing a cationic side chain under photoirradiation conditions.
