Structuration in solutions of hydroxyethyl cellulose in the presence o
f Cr3+ ions was studied. The rheology of the systems was investigated.
The data obtained are represented in the form of isothermic diagrams
of state plotted in coordinates of polymer concentration-concentration
of structuring agent. It is found that concentration and time boundar
ies of the structural and phase transitions are primarily dependent on
the mass ratio of polymer to structuring agent, whereas rheological p
roperties of these systems depend mainly on their phase state (i.e., o
n the position of the system on the phase diagram).
