Abstract
Pool boiling heat transfer coefficients, bubble departure diameters, a nd nucleation site densities have been measured for binary mixtures of acetone, isopropanol, and water. The measured heat transfer coefficie nts are compared to the predictions of a correlation developed by Schl under [1]. Different approaches to determine the ideal heat transfer c oefficient required for thus correlation are evaluated.
